RTI

Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005

CDS College of Engineering respects the public’s right to access information held by public authorities under the Right to Information Act, 2005. As an AICTE-approved institution receiving regulatory oversight and, where applicable, public funding channels, the college designates officers and follows procedures for RTI applications, appeals, and disclosure of non-exempt information.

RTI enables citizens to request copies of records, inspect documents, and obtain certified samples — subject to exemptions under Section 8 of the Act (national security, personal privacy, commercial confidence, etc.). The college balances transparency with protection of student personal data and confidential examination processes.

Public Information Officer (PIO)

Applications under RTI should be submitted to the Public Information Officer at the college address below. Applications must be accompanied by the prescribed fee (as notified by the State Information Commission) and clearly describe the information sought.
