Direct Second Year (DSY) Admission Schedule 2026–27

CDS College of Engineering invites applications for Direct Second Year (DSY) B.E. admission — academic year 2026–27. Diploma holders in Engineering are eligible for lateral entry directly into the second year of the B.E. programme, bypassing the first year, as per the DTE Maharashtra CAP schedule below.

Programmes available for DSY admission: Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. Institute code: 02777.

Eligibility for DSY Admission

• Passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology (relevant branch) from an AICTE-approved / MSBTE-affiliated institute with required minimum marks as per DTE norms.
• Candidates awaiting final diploma results may apply provisionally, subject to submission of the passing certificate before reporting.
• Reserved category candidates must submit valid caste, caste validity, and non-creamy layer certificates where applicable.

• Diploma marksheets (all semesters) and passing certificate
• MSBTE / DTE DSY registration acknowledgement and CAP allotment letter
• SSC marksheet, school/institute leaving certificate, domicile and nationality certificate
• Caste, caste validity, and non-creamy layer certificates (if applicable)
• Passport-size photographs and valid photo ID
