Admissions Open — B.E. Programmes 2026–27

Applications are open for all five B.E. branches for academic year 2026–27. Admissions follow DTE Maharashtra and BAMU rules. Maharashtra students usually come through MHT-CET and CAP counselling. Vacant seats after CAP may be filled at institute level as per DTE notifications. Our institute code is 02777.

Visit the campus if you can — see the labs, meet the admissions staff, and shortlist your branch before CAP option filling. The office helps with MHT-CET registration queries, CAP steps, document verification, fees, and stay options for outstation students.

Eligibility Criteria for B.E. Admission

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility norms prescribed by DTE Maharashtra and BAMU for undergraduate engineering admission:

  • Educational Qualification: Passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
  • Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate marks in the above subjects for Open category candidates, and 40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC as per state rules).
  • Entrance Examination: Valid score in MHT-CET and/or JEE Main as applicable under the current admission policy for Maharashtra state quota and institute-level seats.

Admission Process

Most Maharashtra students are admitted through MHT-CET merit and CAP counselling rounds. After CAP, remaining seats may be filled through institute-level counselling at CDS College (including eligible JEE Main candidates, where applicable), subject to DTE rules and seat availability.

Path 1 — MHT-CET & CAP (Maharashtra state admission)

  1. MHT-CET registration: Register on the State CET Cell portal when the application window opens for the academic year. Keep login credentials, a recent photograph, and HSC details ready.
  2. Appear for MHT-CET: Take the examination as per the schedule notified by the CET Cell. Download your scorecard and check merit status on the official portal.
  3. CAP registration: Register for engineering CAP on the portal notified by DTE / CET Cell for 2026–27.
  4. Option form: Fill your branch and institute preferences. Include CDS College of Engineering (DTE code 02777) and your preferred B.E. programme(s).
  5. CAP counselling rounds: Participate in allotment rounds. Accept the allotment, download the allotment letter, and note document verification and reporting deadlines.
  6. Report to CDS College: Visit the college within the prescribed period with the CAP allotment letter, MHT-CET scorecard, originals and photocopies of required documents, and fee payment as per your admission category.
  7. Enrollment: After verification and fee confirmation, complete enrollment formalities, collect your ID card, and attend orientation.

Path 2 — Institute-level admission (rolling intake)

After CAP rounds, vacant seats and admissions under categories permitted by DTE may be offered through institute-level counselling at CDS College.

  1. Enquiry: Submit an online enquiry, call, or visit the admissions office. Our team explains eligibility, branch options, and the remaining seat matrix.
  2. Application & merit review: Share your MHT-CET / JEE Main scorecard and academic documents. Merit lists are prepared as per DTE rules.
  3. Counselling & document verification: Attend counselling at the college. Original certificates and mark sheets are verified.
  4. Fee payment & enrollment: Pay prescribed fees and complete enrollment as above.

CAP dates, registration windows, and eligibility rules change each year — always verify the latest notification on the official portals below. Our admissions office can guide you through MHT-CET registration, CAP option filling, and institute reporting steps.
